Im confused as to why the tablet specifically reacts differently in Linux (I originally figured it to occur with all tablets under Linux, but thats not the case).

It's a great way to learn how to use a graphic tablet and pen without a large investment. I spent more time looking at the contents of the downloaded driver installer file package from the company and the contents in the disc which came with the PenPad, and opened the driver installer. Note: Wacom and VisTablet software is a little different so if you are using Wacom the images may not be accurate for you but the instructions should still apply.
